The home furnishings industry has a problem: single-use culture and fast fashion are incredibly wasteful. Here at The RE Store, we envision a world in which people value sustainably built home furnishings. From that inspiration we created Revision Division – a design / build laboratory and testing facility to craft gorgeous, durable home furnishings made from reclaimed materials.
Revision Division is a two-person home furnishings design shop, working out of our workshop at The RE Store. We build hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind furniture and home furnishings from reclaimed and used building materials. Inspired by salvaged materials and the history they represent, our products are built to last.
Like most things, Revision Division started with a vision. Today, after plenty of blood, sweat, and sawdust, we have brought our vision to life. Every product is infused with a high level of care, dose of passion, and attention to detail. We are driven to promote the practices of sustainability through material reuse and enjoy inspiring others to change their perception of waste.
Our two builders have very different styles. Matt prefers to work in metal, draws inspiration from Danish mid-century modern styling, and is a fan and student of industrial design from the last century. David’s style harkens back to the rustic woodworkings of the early 1900s, when functionality – and simplicity – drove design. Despite their style preferences, Matt and David both agree that it is the materials that come through The RE Store that drive our designs and creations.
