Recreating Responsibly with RE Sources’ Beach Stewards
With summer low tides in Whatcom County and an influx of people finding new ways to get outdoors during the pandemic, our beaches need a little extra TLC — and we all have a part to play. Keep your eyes peeled for RE Sources out at Larrabee and Birch Bay State Parks this summer through our new Beach Stewards program in partnership with the Marine Resources Committee. We’ll be talking about everything from tide pools to delicate ocean critters, and even (gasp!) poop (yep, you heard us). Check out the dates, times and locations below to see where we’ll be this summer. We’d love to bump into you!
Whether you’re a seasoned beachcomber or heading out on your first tide pool adventure, we’ll help you get in touch (literally) with your local beaches. Ready to take your love for our beaches one step further? Take our Beach Steward Pledge to recreate responsibly this summer and be entered to win a RE Sources insulated camp mug! Follow the link or text BEACH to 40649 to take the pledge.
