Walking tour of Blaine Waterfront contaminated cleanup sites

May 24, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Get familiar with the cleanup and redevelopment process at two sites along Blaine’s waterfront! These two sites, Sea K Fish and Westman Marine, have sediment contaminated with toxic substances from past industrial operations such as boat maintenance, petroleum storage, and fish oil processing. You can learn about — and have a say in — how the WA Department of Ecology might address the contaminants!

The tour has happened, but check out our virtual tour videos on the two sites below. You can also comment on the cleanups until July 5th. Click here for Sean K Fish and here for Westman Marine.

This material is funded through a Public Participation Grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology.
