Post 4th Beach Cleanup at Locust Beach
July 5 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

July 5th is considered the dirtiest day of the year for beaches across the country—Fourth of July firework celebrations leave behind literal tons of debris. In our preferred kind of patriotism, we’re gathering to clean up what others leave behind and ensure our public places are enjoyable for everyone. We’ll be set up in the Locust Beach parking lot (on the right of Locust Avenue just after turning off of Marine Drive) from 9-11 a.m. Cleanup supplies will be provided, along with snacks from the Bagelry and Community Food Co-op to fuel hauling garbage bags up from the beach. Please note: Locust Beach is accessed by a long set of stairs.
