Give Big for Giving Tuesday
We’re setting out to raise $40,000 in a single day, Tuesday November 29th, to propel our important work from Possible to Unstoppable. It’s our most ambitious single-day fundraising goal ever, in celebration of 40 years serving Northwest Washington.
For just a moment, rewind with us to the beginning of 2022. RE Sources was launching into the new year with a mindset of “100% possible.” We worked to galvanize this incredible community around the promise that a healthier, cleaner, more resilient future was 100% possible — despite the leap it might have seemed.
As hoped for and predicted, we have passed major legislation this year, from right here in the Northwest WA (like passing the strongest clean building standards in the country) to the federal level (like passing and enacting the Inflation Reduction Act).
We also stopped a number of bad ideas like the clear-cutting of a Lake Whatcom legacy forest, and in doing so opened the door to new possibilities, such as updating our land management plan to reflect 21st century science and address 21st century problems.
As we head into chaotic midterm elections and high inflation, we think it’s more important than ever to remind you — our amazing community of supporters — that we are actively transitioning from a year of envisioning new possibilities to a year of unstoppable solutions.
Momentum is building as the urgency of climate change and environmental degradation is growing. The specific groundwork RE Sources laid this year and the successful foundations we’ve built over the last 40 years have prepared us for this moment of transition. A moment when there is no turning back. We wholeheartedly believe a better future is possible, and buoyed by recent environmental and climate breakthroughs, we’re pushing forward to make that future inevitable. With your support, we’re moving from possible to unstoppable.
Giving Tuesday — a global movement unleashing the power of radical generosity — kicks off November 29th and runs for just 24 hours. We’re using this important day to embolden our community to take action and support RE Sources with a gift. Together we can take audacious possibilities for our future and turn them into unstoppable solutions.
