Community Workshop: Planning Climate Resilience
June 23 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

What does it mean to build climate resilience in Northwest Washington?
Monday, June 23rd from 5:30-7:00pm
RE Sources offices, Main Room (2309 Meridian St, Bellingham). Go up the stairs from The RE Store parking lot.
Join RE Sources and Community to Community Development (C2C) to learn how Whatcom County’s Comprehensive Plan process can be a tool for visioning and implementing policies that build climate resilient communities as we grow.
First, we’ll work together to identify which aspects of climate resilience are most important to community members, and develop a vision of the future we’d like to see for Whatcom County.
We will then dive deeper into the new(!) Climate chapter of the Whatcom Comprehensive Plan and work together to draft stronger policies and goals to submit as recommended updates to the Climate chapter. Our comments will be shared with the Planning Commission and County Council to consider and hopefully support at the June 27th public hearing and other related meetings and planning efforts including the Lake Whatcom Forest Management Plan.
Light refreshments provided, all ages welcome!
