DESCRIPTION:In partnership with volunteer organizations and individuals around the globe\, we’re joining in on International Coastal Cleanup Day to help remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Since its beginning\, more than 19 million volunteers have collected more than 400 million pounds of trash. Join us for doing our part locally in this worldwide effort! Cleanup supplies will be provided\, along with snacks from the Bagelry and Community Food Co-op. \n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, September 19th | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nGulf Road Beach\, 4601 Gulf Rd\, Ferndale\, WA 98248\n\n  \nSign up to let us know you’ll be there!

DESCRIPTION:Fidalgo Bay Day is a FREE educational community event that fosters public awareness and stewardship of the marine environment and presents a wonderful opportunity to strengthen partnerships with the local conservation community. There will be educational displays from marine conservation groups across the region and activities such as a beach seining demonstration\, Forage Fish egg survey\, Shannon Point Marine Center portable touch tanks\, and FREE samples of local seafood.  \nREGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED! \nThis event is FREE for all to attend! We want everyone to have the ability to experience the wonder of the sea. If you would like to help support this event and other marine education programs\, you can make a donation amount of your choosing to The Salish Sea School. All gift amounts are deeply appreciated!
