Thank you for urging your Representatives to support improving toxic chemical rules in Washington! Here's how you can help:

1. Go to the Legislature's SSB 5135 comment page here and fill out your information, and select only your two Representatives to receive your comment, NOT your Senator. This bill has already passed the Senate.
2. Mark that you SUPPORT the bill
3. Paste (and adapt, if willing and able) the language below into the Comment section, and submit!

I am writing to urge your support for the Pollution Prevention for Our Future Act. This will direct scientific experts to take action on chemicals that threaten sensitive populations like orcas, kids, pregnant women, and other affected communities.

It is no coincidence that the same chemicals threatening orcas show up in our bodies and in the environment. A big source of exposure to toxic chemicals for both humans and orcas are chemicals intentionally put in consumer products. That is why the bill addresses chemicals at their source in consumer products, and prioritizes action on five classes of chemicals harmful to our bodies and the environment: nonstick PFAS, PCBs, phthalates, phenolic compounds, and toxic flame retardants.

This is the action we need to protect our future and keep toxic pollution from getting into our water, food, homes, bodies, and environment. As your constituent, I strongly urge to support this legislation. Thank you.
